Inventory Specialist

About You:

Details, process, and organization are only the beginning. We’re looking for candidates to leverage existing retail inventory experience and use it to support the production of a brand new device with a unique production process. On any day you’ll be working with in-store retail teams on locating products, optimizing inventory processes, and making an impact on improvements to our overall supply chain.

You’re the backbone of the retail environment and you support retail team members through accurate product management. You’ll be working with stakeholders all across the company on managing inventory levels, keeping accurate counts, and finding innovative processes.

Main objectives:

  • Within 15 days,
    • Immerse yourself in overall Thalmic culture, brand and vision
    • Understand our overall manufacturing process and supply chain
  • Within 30 days,
    • Optimize existing inventory process and strategy based on demand
    • Train new employees in inventory management techniques
  • Within 60 days,
    • Find efficiencies in overall inventory strategy and implement to improve speed, quality and overall costs
    • Build relationships with vendors and supply chain partners

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in retail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with Excel/and or Google Sheets
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable spending 8 hours standing and moving

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in NetSuite, G Suite and Confluence
  • Working in retail startup environment
  • Strong ability to multi-task overall
